Fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

Approximate drive times:

  • from Seattle – 2-1/2 hours
  • from Spokane or Bellingham – 3 hours
  • from Portland – 4-1/2 hours

Other transportation options:

Alaska Airlines (operated by Horizon Air) offers 4 flights daily in each direction between Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport and Wenatchee’s Pangborn Memorial Airport (EAT).  Rental vehicles and shuttles are available at the Pangborn terminal.  It is a 30 mile drive from Pangborn Airport to the Icicle Village Resort in Leavenworth.

Amtrak serves Leavenworth from Seattle or westbound from Chicago via the Empire Builder.  The train leaves daily from Seattle’s King Street Station at 4:40 PM and arrives in Leavenworth at 8:00 PM.  This is a beautiful train ride up the Skykomish River Valley, through the Cascade Tunnel, and then down the Wenatchee River Valley (Tumwater Canyon) to Leavenworth.  If you fly in to Seattle it is a very easy Link Light Rail trip from Sea-Tac Airport to the Link International District Station, then a 5-minute walk to Amtrak’s King Street Station.

  • It is 2 miles from the Leavenworth Amtrak Station to the Icicle Village Resort. Be sure to pre-arrange transportation (Leavenworth Shuttle). Walking is not recommended.
  • Be sure to check with Amtrak if any schedule changes will occur before our meetings.

Another option is to fly in to Sea-Tac and ride Amtrak to Leavenworth. Then fly out of Pangborn, via Sea-Tac, to your home city.
